Stephen - that style of  Disco imho is so much better that the two that followed. I had one of the first ones made from new - just 2 doors and mountain graphics on the sides.  The two later models seem to lack the 'soul' of the original. I also had a mk3 - lovely car but it lacked that 'something'. The latest one is so bland and uninspired. The mk 1 that I had did 135k without a problem. The only problem was that it was slooooooooow. I did a lot of driving in Germany on unrestricted autobahns and narrowly escaped being rammed from behind on a daily basis.
Classic fishing wagon - enjoy it.

Rob, that’s a 2 1/4 petrol and I bet it is as bad or worse than the V8 on fuel. I took it to Durness once and it cost a fortune

I'm also quite sure that journey was the primary source of my lower back pain...

Although the cheer from the pair of us when she managed an overtake made the extortionate fuel costs worth it 😂
