Hit a new loch for me today which contains wild brownies.
Struggled for the 1st hour - landed one and missed one. The all went quiet. So broke off for lunch. The about 2pm it kicked off with lots of trout moving. Fishing just under the surface to try and 'match the hatch'
Got nothing under 0.5 lbs and the best went 2lbs - so was WELL happy
Superbly conditioned fish and great fun to take just subsurface on light gear. I even managed 2 'double headers' with the fish over 1lb each
i think by the end i landed 7, lost 3. What a lovely way to spend a day
