Italian journalist Armando Quazzo contacted me last year for an interview about fly line design. He had a set of questions that we discussed at length and to be honest, I haven't really thought much about our conversation since then.
Armando contacted me again earlier this week and told me that he had used this for an article which has just been published in the Italian magazine 'La Pesca Mosca e Spinning'
So I'm having fun at the moment, reading through the six page article in Italian and trying to understand it with my Spanish ...... it's all basically latin after all
Some interesting stuff in this ( at least from what I can make out ) as the interviews were with:
Leiv Stavmo (Guideline)
Simon Gawesworth (Rio)
Gareth Jones (Airflo)
Brooks Robinson (Cortland)
Simon Kidd (Snowbee)
Andrew Bosway ( Orvis/Scientific Anglers)
Mike Barrio (Barrio Fly Lines)
From what I can understand, we don't all give the same answers, our ideas can be quite different ..... all of which is very positive and should hopefully produce a great variety of interesting products in the future.
Best wishes
Mike
