I was invited to do a demo in pitlochry last night, these are some of the flies I took with me. Based on the request for a Yellow Owl, Green Peter Hog, 'Dapping' Daddy and a Stonefly nymph
Yellow Owl - Variations from the original wet fly (ok its a Hen Pheasant rather than Owl wing, but I value my liberty!)
Hogs with an original Green Peter at the right.
'Dapping' Daddies with, from L-R Chenille, foam, silicon/dubbing and Deer Hair bodies, though the one with the silicon/dubbing (thanks Kev) is for casting rather than dapping (caught a few fish too as you can see from its roughening up)
Finally some Stoneflies
Yes the Montana was originally the Montana Stonefly.... effective & simple to tie
An all brown version
Red Fox Squirrel nymph
Body of nymph Skin with Hemingways legs and wing cases. A 'waving' stonefly.
Final one is tied using
Airfix Pro Sportfisher materials..... its a really easy tie though it looks harder.
If you like them I'm Peter McCallum
If not I've been Kevin Muir
