After a week that started with a North Easterly breeze, developed into a NE wind and by Thursday had become a full scale gale, it was pleasant to find that Friday and Saturday allowed the anglers to enjoy good overhead conditions and some productive fishing. The surface activity is still not fully developed but sporadic rises are becoming more prevalent and evening fishing is becoming closer.
The best recorded catches this week were; D Stewart, Aberdeen, 19 fish, (buzzers/blob), A Riddell, Aberdeen, 17 fish, (yellow WSW), G Burton, Gardenstown, 12 fish, (bloodworm), N Thomson, Turriff, 11 fish, (black buzzer), A Murray, Gardenstown, 10 fish, (black cat), B Gray, Largue, 8 fish, (black buzzer).
The forecast for the coming week is certainly more settled but temperatures from mid week still predicted on the low side. It is hoped that this will lead to more surface activity.
