Not this time, this one has Garrison staggered nodes and is solid. Its varnished instead of impreg but has a taper and action very similar to the hollow one.
Much easier to make and to be honest, doesn't feel much different to cast with
, which in some ways is rather dissapointing given the disparity in effort, and in others is rather cool , because it makes a cracking rod a bit more affordable.
This one is a Barrio "Wairua" 7ft 6" 4wt, this is the 3rd one we've built and so far they have all been beautiful casting and fishing tools with a great deal of consistancy in action.
Its based on My Hollow rod and is far too similar for my liking
But does give us a great potential product
Now the house is finished i hope to get a few built this year
