I may very well be missing something here but I simply do not get why anyone re-spools thread when most bobbin holders are made with bendable legs!
You are and you are not Ben ! I never re-spool - not enough hours in the day as it is ! The Rite Bobbin (Standard) I bought has a single fixed leg and is for Uni sized spools:
The Rite's central spindle is too fat to accomodate a Pearsalls spool so you would have to re-spool the thread. I was told when I bought it you could put two Pearsall's side by side (to fill the spindle)......but you can't !
Other than that it is a very good Bobbin especially if you only use Uni Thread, Nano Silk type spools. Fits the hand really well, shortish working length.
The Tiemco's are for the money the best I have used, as you say no slippage and 'manual' drag adjustment !
