I started to compile a list of items - consumables, tools, etc. that will or may be required for a typical single handed fly rod build. Other members may be able to add to, or remove, or advise on suitability of these items.

6mm threaded bar 14" or so long c/w wing nuts and repair washers

Emery boards, thin files (or end of flat file) if shaping rubberised cork sections
Broach or similar to recess reel end of cork to accept hood
