You'll love it alex! Can't see the pictures because I'm on the old crackberry. I hooked into two of Mike's finest rainbows yesterday with my 3wt. My arm took a bit of a battering but the rod was excellent!

on the laptop the noo,

The 3wt subdued this beauty yesterday

Also I'm amazed at what it can turn over even in my hands.  Two damsels both with tungsten beads.  A 7.5ft 4x rio trout taper with about another ten feet of 4x frog hair coupled with a barrio mallard fly line.

You will enjoy this rod!

Well that's a bit more done tonight Butt section & second section ready for epoxy if the weather improves!!!
Tip section needs one more whipping to be finished, so just one section to do.

Handle, Reel Seat & Whipping Check fitted

Starting to look like a Fly Rod now

Getting there!!!

Alex,
Where did you get your decals done?

Cheers,
Rob

Oh..and I love the blue thread..I use that colour sometimes and it really works well, the epoxy gives it a lovely sparkle.

You're really nipping on with this one Alex.  How long have you been spending every day?

Hi Matt

Couple of hours on Friday doing prep work (measuring & marking Spine, dry fitting Handle etc)

about 4 hours on Saturday & the same on Sunday, then about an hour with Epoxy last night.

Think another coat tonight should see it finished but wont know until it is on and dry. :z16
