Technically it's a very interesting exercise for the fisheries 'geek' (such as I am) to undertake but transgenics is a big no-no and I sincerely hope such things never come to the table or a fishery near you......
However, consider this, selective breeding in salmonids was once frowned on but is now considered common/good practice. Triploid fish were once considered akin to the anti-christ but are now common place in a variety of salmonids and make up a very very significant percentage of the stocked and table fish available today.
So if, looking into my gloomy crytal ball, I see transgenic fish on the horizon line I have to ask how long will it be before the 'technology' in transgenics is incorporated 'somewhere' in the food chain for farmed fish.
Think about it...... it's actually quite frightening.
