and Kevlard's pearly pennelsA bit of a variation on the pearly pennel I usually tie them with a hen hackle but this one has crow for the hackle and a turn of orange dubbing for a thorax. The rest of the materials are golden pheasant for the tail, pearly tinsel for the body with a silver wire rib. as the body can be a bit fragile i run a fine layer of superglue along the body before applying the tinsel and then a coat of 60 second nail varnish before applying the rib. The hackle is perhaps bordering on the long side but I dont think it will stop the trout. These variations are the first I have tied but I have fished pearly pennels with a variety of retrieves, deep and sub surface and they have always taken fish. Look forward to seeing the rest of the tyingsKev/quote]
