Hi folks

It was the opening of the River Dee this morning, it is always great to join in the traditional aspects of our sport and this year was rather special ..... as Billy Connolly was opening the River and I'm a big fan!

I enjoyed the small section in that STV clip showing another well known local angler (Mr B) munching through a bacon sandwich. Nice 

An enjoyable event and nice to see Billy supporting the local River Trusts

Had to laugh at Billy's comment that he prefers trout to salmon fishing as he doesn't like standing fishing with a bunch of fat businessmen !

Liked his coat and hat though. Imagine if any of us turned up at Haddo dressed like that though !

Having recently been told to get my hair cut, I suggested to "Mrs B" last night that I would like to grow my hair long and be able to wear nice clothes like that

Her reply was "I'll be quite happy for you to do that when you bring home the same wage packet as Billy!"

Good camera ..just spend a small fortune on a Lumix G1..totally impressed with it
