i got to try this rod out a at loch insch, i was quite impressed with how good it was, great for casting and it was just with a reel and line that they used on one of the hire rods at insh. The rod has a ruff finish on it.

It is made by Sharpes of Aberdeen and is called Reacter.

these rods were able to cast a line , but given their price - £300+ - were appalling value, you could have bought a really cheap rod to cast as well and they would have been thinner & lighter

Sorry, I have to agree with Peter on this one. It was one of those things that I really wanted to see turning out good ....... but sadly, it was hugely disappointing for various reasons :z6

Best wishes
Mike
