Almost Jim

They are infact Black bodied ring necked pink billed ducks.  :z4
It also looks like they both went up against the newly painted green benches beside the bridge. :z4

Seriously now  :wink I saw the same ducks at Monymusk last year , not a British species , so I'm guessing domestic  escapee's.

Blue Swedish ? http://www.domesticducks.co.uk/breeds.html

They aren't any  breed of wild duck that I know so I agree they must be feral domestic ducks especially as they are big. They could easily be mongrels crossed with wild or another breed of domestic ducks.

I would say they are domestic gone feral. In my home town in Ireland there is a flock of ducks and geese living in a riverside field in the middle of town for many years. They are all the colours of the rainbow(almost).
Thats my guess anyway. Lovely looking birds.

I give up :z4

I've been round and round the net, on far too many bird websites and found nothing like them :z5

I reckon we should go with Jim's name "Wild Guess Ducks" and Noel's description "Lovely looking birds" :z16

Best wishes

Noel,
Don't be silly - it's far too small for a swan, it's a goose :z12

ok with the help of a few friends the first pair of birdies we think have been cross bred intentionally in captivity and escaped. Mallard x Muscovy or Mallard x Swedish perhaps or bits of both.

You are all wrong about the white bird:

I have seen these before & it is definately from an old strain called

"The lesser Orange-Billed Snowwhite Duck" a rather rare member of
the Disney Genus!!
