I'm going to give a few a go tomorrow.

Hopefully with decent results.

going back to an earlier question - I never tie buzzers on a straight hook, no reason, just like the look of a curve (no comments please)

A slow build up of varnish, and the feintest hint of ink at the thorax complemented the Hayabusa profile in a very pleasing way.

thats how he says he ties them.

Build them up in layers or you will find the varnish dosnt dry properly. put 2 coats of varnish on the shank. when well dried add another coat to the thorax, rob the guy that ties them uses ink , one coat then varnish. keep adding the varnish over 2 days so that it dries.  good luck guys but if you cant be bothered the guy is selling them .  jim

I've just tried it too

Varnished thorax area of hook, let it dry, covered bottom of varnish with a standard re felt tip and then put a blob of varnish over the top.
Looks like a little paperweight attached to the hook, i think with some practice it could be very effective :z16

Sandy

Did anyone ever master these ?
