 :grin
Picked up my Barrio 3wt today and had a play with it at Haddo for a few hours. Absolutely gorgeous rod !!! I would highly recommend it.
All I have to do now is get some casting practice in so I can do it justice.

I got my Barrio 3wt last month and must agree that it's a delightfull rod.
The rod biuld is exellant, I take it that it's Sandy I've to thank for that.
I'm having a great time trying the rod out.

I must say I agree also on the 3wt....

Last week I took delivery of my Barrio 5wt......I expected alot from this rod after my 3wt experience and wasn't disappointed...I now have the dilema every time I go fishing of which one to use.....

Thanks Sandy.

P.S. My 7wt is for sale if anyone is interested....

Cheers,

Steven

Thats the most annoying bit..the waiting. Welcome to the world of self build :)

If you decide to build any more I have a good contact for American Fishing Tackle seats, handles and guides :) or Pacific Pay, including some blanks.

If you ask them for a deal on the 10ft one i'm sure they could possibly even better the offer
Ask for Gregg Holloway himself and he's great to talk too.
If its cheaper Kits you're looking for www.cabelas.com is a good source of decent priced kits :z16

I will PM you the chaps name :)

As Sandy points out, G n B are great for kits etc and if you call they will sort you out with just about anything they have in stock as a mix and match kit..so you can choose different rings, reel seats etc. However, if you want one of the AT blanks or reel seats you will have to go to the chap I use in Holland :) or direct to the States.

Also John and Meadow fishery can help with blanks and kits from Sage, PacBay and Harrison. :)

Hi Koi,

I use a WF4 in the tube or on a stillwater and a DT3 on the river. Works for me but needless to say give both a try if you can.

I'm sure you'll like it either way.

Hi Sandy     i decided on wf4 which seemed to match the rod and my casting style well,   also got one of mikes reels in blue to match the rod     :z18
