BFFI this w/e?

It's the British Fly Fair International (BFFI) near Stafford this weekend. Is anyone going?
I'll be there on my little WAFT stall. Be nice to see you there.
I'll be showing some flies recommended for wafting tied by James and Hamish.

Alas whilst I have been offered a ticket which a chum can't use,  I can't get away until Saturday morning and as I need to be in the office on the following Monday - well, it's a no from me  *smiley-unhappy*
Shame really, there's always something to see at the BFFI. Maybe next year  :z18

You will have a presence there Hamish. Your unique collection of dapping flies will be on display again.  :z16

The show was once again a great success. It was a pleasure to meet Sandy there and to admire his beautiful craftmanship.
I put a small display of flies tied by James and Hamish on my stall and several visitors took photos of them.
I love exhibitions - the unexpected always happens. Meeting people and having interesting conversations that would not have been possible otherwise.

Lovely flies, but I’m interested to know what “wafting” is Terry?

Dapping-lite?

We set up on Friday.

Weekend was really busy with lots of folk popping in to say Hi, which was fantastic. I met a lot of folk I’ve spoken too for years and a lot of customers dropped in to meet face to face.
It was great fun.

Ids and Nico were right next door

Too much temptation. But I did resist. To a point.

Andrew - look up wafting.co.uk to get some idea. The site needs updating as further applications and rod design have evolved.
I'll be using the 15 footer as usual today. Hardly ever use anything else these days. I'm lucky to be able to boat fish all year round.

Not in my house  *smiley-tongue-out*
Alt T is a collective of independent builders/makers/craftsmen from across the world. What’s alternative is that every piece is unique , from reels and bags to rods. The material is not the point. It’s more about being the only place you can get a product from one of the makers without having to wait anything from a couple of months to a couple of years.

It’s a fun and interesting group to be a part of.
