Desert Island Stream

Hi folks

As a natural evolution to the “dream rod” thread, why don’t we have a “dream stream” thread?

Mine would be a short Highland or Island spate stream or river connecting a decent salmon loch with the sea. Far enough away from the madding crowds (NC500 campervan brigade) to keep it quiet,  but close enough to take my young daughter along for a cast and a picnic.

Hopefully the chance of a sea trout or grilse, or just some nice family time away from mobile reception and the stresses of 2023.

Just wide enough to fish a muddler or a silver stoat on a 10’ single hander. Perhaps with the chance of fishing a sandeel pattern in the sea pool if I timed the tide right.

You guys next… 🎣

A bit more difficult to answer this one - but I like your idea of the short river  :)

Ah.....mine would be just like one in Northern Sweden, like on the Youtube movies Rolf Nylinder makes.....

Other than that, our River Don is pretty much a dream I'd say, :-)
