Nice one Liam  >)

I haven't done much grayling fishing, must try and fix that in the not too distant future .........

James, The Tay system is your closest rivers. Tummel at Pitlochry, Earn at Creif and Auchterarder, Tay at Stanley and Aberfeldy are options

Braw fish.

Never fished for Grayling. Just wondering what the tactics are on the Tay.

A tad of dredging perhaps with sinking lines etc.

We are lucky down here in Staffordshire. All four of our little club's rivers hold Grayling.
They are a coarse fish (debatable in my opinion) and we hold them in high regard.
It can be difficult not to catch them when trout fishing during the coarse close season. We encourage members to be extra careful when unhooking and to change tactic or swims if they are catching regularly. Also to wade discretely - like walk up the bank instead of wading when moving about.
