Just before X-mas, I gave a fly-tying workshop at my local tackle shop (and private sponsor! )

We tied a Perch fry streamer type



Nice fly for big Perch and certainly (Stillwater) Trout

Hook; Kamasan B800 #6
Tail; Red Marabou
Body; Christal Chenille White Pearl
Rib; Copper Wire (tied in zonker, "Matuka Style")
Zonker; Rabbit Olive 3 mm
Beard; Red Marabou
Head; Fish Mask with eyes
Thread; Uni 6/0 Olive

"Pearchy" stripes done with a waterproof black marker!!!

Also a couple tied without mask, but with a front hackle "blood red" as sub.

Great Fry pattern to have in your box

I tie a similar one, but in more subdued colours to match the Perch in the water I fish them...

As are yours.  I know a loch where they would slaughter lots of very big brownies
