The past week has been a continuation of the unpredictable and unsettled weather patterns that we have endured this year. The wind has played a major role in creating adverse fishing conditions and it is predicted to continue during the next week accompanied by wet overhead conditions which leads to coloured water. However, despite the weather, some good catches have been recorded, the best of which was a commendable 20 fish bag landed by M Stewart, Methlick during a four hour visit and using olive damsel nymphs. Other good returns were recorded to; K Fraser, Greeness, 14 fish, (pink blob, white minky, olive lure), N Thomson, Turriff, 9 fish, (black nomad), J McKay, Macduff, 7 fish, (pink blob).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 5pm during February and visitors and novices are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery.
The conditions for the coming week are predicted to continue mixed and for up to date information phone Bob on 07980 999 06.
