When I went trough my flyfishing memory lanes, I found an old fly box

Beside a bunch of rusty old patterns, there were a couple of Micky Finn's wich brought me back to some good memory's

My first Seetrout, sturdy Seabass, Perch and stillwater trout, fell for that pattern those days and I wondered, "Why shouldnt I ty myselve a new set"?

I started fly fishing at about 11 or 12 in and around London. The very first fly I bought was a Sweeny Todd. It caught from the off and it was my favourite fly for years and years. You never see it these days.



I also caught Chub and Perch from the Thames and Lee on it. I have heard it will take sea trout as well, especially dressed with a small grizzle cock feather down the flanks.

That sweeny Todd looks very much like a stinchar stoat which caught me my first salmon. Everyone would still be catching on ally's shrimps if they weren't all using cascades now.
