Gents I know there has been some discussion on this topic but i would like to gauge interest on my proposal below

A night fishing Competition , format to be decided however my thoughts are

7pm to 6am , September 14th 2013
fishing in teams of 2 , fish weighed in the net and returned
biggest combined weight wins
1 1/2 hour per section of the lake(lake divided into 5 sections)

£25 per person entry
BBQ in the evening to kick the events off (coffee, tea provided through the night )
breakfast roll to end events with prize giving
prizes to include £50 team first prize , £25 team second prize , £15 for individual heaviest bag , various fishing gear

let me know any thoughts and if interested

Kev and Glen of Rothes has run a few night comps...might be worth asking him regarding pitfalls etc.

Fish weighed in a net and returned sounds like a bad idea!
Everyone just has to take note of the time they catch there first fish and every fish after that is worth 2lbs! Saves faffing aboot and keepin the fish out of the water whilst weighing etc!
If it comes to the point that people have the same amount of troot obviously the first person who caught the first fish would be the winner.

Just my opinion  :z18
