Can anyone recomend a hook to tie up size 14-16 shuttlecock's.
There is that many numbers after hooks these days and to be honest iam a bit lost. A name and a model would be perfect thanks.

Bigtroot,

IF you want a decent curved hook use the Kamasan B100.  If you want a straight hook I use the Kamasan B170 but for most nymphs and emergers I tend to prefer the Tiemco 200R.  Hope this helps!  Kamasan are usually cheaper and easy to find on line in 50s or 100s and Somers also stock them.  Let me know if you have any problems finding them as I'm sure I could spare a couple of each!

Check the link to complete fisher they have a hook equivalent chart which may be of some use.

I've been using the hyabusa hooks for the 18 months with no problems it would be difficult to tell the difference between the kamasan and hyabusa.

Rutland Angling sell them online in packs of 50 or 100

Its the B100 I use as well...and for something different I sometimes use the gold version for a bit of a flash.
