Haddo was closed today (Tuesday) due to the loch being covered with ice. Luckily, this does not appear to be very thick.

I am hoping to be able to open again tomorrow, but this will of course depend on what conditions I find in the morning

I will post any updates on here and you can phone the usual number too ............. 07810 868897

Best wishes

Not too bad at Haddo today, about 25% was not iced over and the rest had a reasonably thin layer of ice. There was about enough open water for two boats to fish.

I could have broken the ice up quite easily, but left it as I had no bookings or anglers this morning.

Will probably be OK for tomorrow if anybody wants to fish it

Best wishes

Oh well, last night's frost killed that idea  :z6  ......... Haddo is totally frozen over again this morning.

I am hoping to be able to offer boats at the weekend, but the ice is now quite thick, so this will depend on conditions tomorrow  :z3

That's better, I managed to clear about 75% of the loch today ......... so it should be fine for the weekend.

It was lovely and mild at Haddo today, a real cracker and the fish were rising too

The ice has returned  :z8

The loch is solid this morning ( Wednesday ) and I suspect it might be for a few days depending on the weather.

I will post updates on here as usual to let you know how things progress over the next few days

Hi
The ice has also started to return at pitfour today, the ice is only at the fishing hut end of the loch and the rest is clear at the moment! we have put a couple of boats at the other end by the old hut so if the ice has not spread to much then fishing should be ok for tommorrow.

best to phone befor leaving tho

The coarse fishery is totally frozen over and unfishable,

Andrew

Artloch is also, not surprisingly, ice bound with a considerable amount of snow.

Will post notice when clear.

 Sorry to hear it will be closed this weekend, but to be expected with the cold night temps. I will have to wait till another day to beat my father-in-law!!!!

Suppose i can always cast a line over the hot tub if i get desperate  :z4

Dave.

Haddo is now totally ice free too, but the water is quite brown after the "damp" conditions.

Boats will make the coloured water worse, so I am going to leave it to settle today and tomorrow ........ and will open for fishers on Wednesday
