Hi folks
The crew of the Ocean Quest took to the freshwater boats at Haddo this week and "landed" 54 trout on the day. Top rod was Derek Wiseman with 12 fish, Dave Richie netted a nice 10 lb rainbow, Brian Wiseman a 9 pounder and James Watt another fine fish of approx 8 lb.
Conditions over the week have been a bit wild, but Haddo is fairly sheltered in amongst the trees and has fished well, with buzzers, bloodworm, bibio, damsels and black nymphs all proving productive.
Iain Cameron enjoyed a good session tempting 11 fish up to 5 lb, Alex Burnett caught 14 to 6 lb, Bill Davidson 14 to 10 lb, Alistair Davidson 16 to 3 lb, Kenny Hall 17 to 12 lb 6 oz, Jim Adie 18 to 6 lb and Keith Crocket equalled the fishery record by netting 40 fish in 4 hours, a good number of which were in the 5 to 9 lb range!
