Hi folks

For those who have bought reels online from Danielsson directly recently, have you been stung for VAT/duty when it’s landed in the UK?

The website prices make a Nymph reel seem a bargain, but perhaps not so much once all the extra charges are considered.

Select VAT free and take your chances is my way.

I have 3 Danielsson reels ....... They are so well made you won't be dissapointed even if they do add the VAT before its delivered.

Whether I did or didn't pay the VAT I couldn't possibly say..........

I’ve bought the traditional Dry fly reel and spares spools direct, as stated no vat etc and wasn’t charged. Even with the tax added they’d be good value and as cheap as buying over here. Brilliant quality reels.
