Marryat Fly Rods

Not that I’m looking to expand my fly rod arsenal (again), but does anyone have info about the rod brand Marryat?

There’s a positive review of an 8’6 dry fly rod in this month’s FF&FT, but little else online.

Are they a small scale manufacturer, or just that they don’t have much of a UK footprint?

Allan is your Marryat man Andrew, I'll let him know that you're asking  :z16

I used to sell Marryat reels many moons ago, but I got them through a UK distributor at the time, excellent reels!
I think Marryat originally had a background as watchmakers?

Cheers

if your after a shorter ( about 8ft) fly rod I'd look at glass.....
All my rods used to be carbon but not any more...

Marryat are superb rods and I love fishing with my ones finding them ideal for all my favourite fishing styles.
A much bigger and well known brand in France where they hail from and distributed through UK by Fishing Matters who own Partridge,  Sprite, Cox and Rawl as well as UK distributors for Hunts, Geoff Anderson, Varivas and HMH vices.
