Lochter Report – Heating up at Lochter
« on: 19/07/2022 at 16:03 »
Down Lochter way the old saying “summertime and the living is easy” came to mind as the weather heated up a notch or two as the week progressed.

Morning and evening have proved the best times of the day, but most fishers are not fixated about numbers caught at this time of year, with the bountiful wildlife and their offspring going about their business filling in the gaps between fish nosing at flies.

Dave Simpson used blobs, buzzers and klinkhammers for his 17 fish, Russell Jenkins stuck with buzzers for his 14 fish and Graham Williamson on an evening session had 13 fish from the top of the water on spiders, CDC hoppers and yellow klinkhammers.

Other returns were Rob Wishart with 12 CDC’s, Albert Trail on 12 fish using klinkhammers, Mike Skene on 11 with dry flies and buzzers, Jim Buchan on 10 fish on buzzers and Shawn Fraser with 8 fish on fabs and diawl bachs.

We are currently open at 8am for the early fisher and close at 10pm for the evening specialists.

Supposed to be cooling towards the weekend so hopefully back to more normal summer conditions.

Tight Lines.
