I've just joined the FTFS Forum and want to introduce myself and thank other members for the rich information and insights posted here.
I live in Sydney, Australia and most of my fly fishing is in Tasmania and South Island, NZ where I fish many rivers but particularly the Mataura. If you have not fished this wonderful river or would like to learn more from someone who has spent much of his life on its banks, I recommend Dougal Rillstone's book Upstream on the Mataura.
My work gives me great flexibility to travel as all I require is an internet connection. I'm visiting Wales, Ireland and Scotland from early March to early July and will be staying in Alford for most of May 2022 when I plan to fish the Don. Previous communications with Sandy have seen me busy at the vice and I'm hoping for confirmation from surface feeding browns that my CDC Spiders pass muster.
I hope to meet you on the river, Michael
