Things have been very busy at Lochter in the past weeks, draining then substantially deepening the two front lochs as well as adding new landscape features. 

The work is almost complete and we will then open the sluice gate to start filling up the lochs.  We will then re-stock with our very own plump Lochter trout.

It should take about a month to fill and settle down and then our regulars will be able to enjoy the fruits of our labour.

At the moment, we are open from 8am – 6pm for fly-fishing on the Muckle Trout loch.  Since the re-opening we have had an eager band of anglers out in force to test the breaking strain of their lines against some of our hefty Muckle Troot Rainbows.

So why not come past and give it a go, no need to book.

  That looks like some improvement.  At this stage  would you consider doing a  'chart' of the ponds  showing approx. depths ?

  Wow wow wow.!! What a difference. Had a look in past yesterday  and was amazed at the difference
 The two new islands will make a big odds as the fish are usually singing and jumping like dolphins out of reach in the middle.
I was asking about a contour map to highlight the deep bits and the shallow banks  No need Its all deep
 Canna wait to get  my line  in there.
