Thanks for sharing that. It's a stark reminder as to jist how quickly a pleasant day afloat can quickly turn into a disaster (especially with unpredictable Scottish weather).
I myself must admit that I have repeatedly thought I was invincible in the past and near come a cropper as a result...
As the owner of several boats I do find it a tad worrying that I can happily launch one of my boats at will without any form of formal training what soever. I mentioned to my mates earlier in the year that with the onset of covid and people investing in toys at home as opposed to going on holiday (try finding an arran boat for sale for example) that we were going to see a sharp rise in deaths with boats.
