I went up to Waulkmill on Sat was quite breezy there was one or two others there but needless to say I didn't catch anything  :cry.

I didn't try out Iains #6 rod and reel as it was so windy i thought i just keep to my #7 and wait for better contioins.

If you were out where were you and how did you get on?

Great day :z16

As always, the company makes the day :-*
Even when the forces of nature gang up on you :z6

Spent about 30mins just watching a kingfisher, who seemed to fancy either me or Hamish, amazing, never been that close to them before, normally all you see is a flash of blue and orange, but to watch it fishing and getting so close was something else :z16
Typically though the camera was at home :z10

Only at Haddo, it must be something to do with the primitive hunter who runs the place :z4

I visited 3 waters with the fly rod, and even with a leadcore line i would not have been able to get through the surface film...as it was 3 inches thick and solid!!!! No Pike on the fly for me for a while me thinks.  :cry

As soon as the ice clears though, I hope to put a bend in the rod  :grin
