Rig winders...

as i float tube a fair amount these days - if you get a leader tangle its a real pain to try and construct a new one whilst 'on the water'

so i was looking to take some pre-made casts with me.

I often  see people with purpose made cast holders, or using beer or whisky mats.

However what i did was bought some sea fishing rig winders.

They are cheap, bright ( so you dont loose them), tough and come with pins to hold your loops.

I bought some 'Fish Eagle' ones. Saves sooo much agro.

fog, Masterline, and wheatly all do(or Did) cast holders , also Grouse and Glen Morangie made Beer mats as cast holders, I have a couple of Grouse ones , they used to be available in the pubs round Loch leven, I use these all the time ever since I first started over 60 years back, I use a CD wallet to keep them in , it's slim enough to go in a pocket in my jacket, holds about a dozen casts, Derek Roxborough

Did you get the box to keep them in?

I now use the Zig version that was adapted from the sea ones. The cases tend to be a bit nicer :)
