The past week has seen anglers enjoy good fishing conditions although at times the breeze proved problematic. Temperatures remained moderate although intermittent bright spells sent the fish down. Whilst the lure fishermen still enjoyed good sport the emergence of the dry fly with increased surface activity was very noticeable and, for the short periods the dry fly activity ceased, buzzers, nymphs and wets proved very productive. The main rises to dry fly was to sedges, daddies and CDC parachute type.

The coming week suggest a continuation pf the settles weather becoming warmer from mid week onwards with today (Sunday) and tomorrow suggesting light rainfall which is most welcome to enable the water courses to return to normal and to freshen the water.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and is open seven days from 8:00am. Fishing closes at 10:00pm in the evening. Evening fishers should book in by 7:00pm.
