Glen of Rothes trout and coarse fshery
Stable conditions gave some consistant fishing for anglers later on in the week once the winds had gone,but even in the wind fishing was good and fish were active enough to give some good returns of 8 and 9 fish.It was mostly zonkers and lime and black fritz for the first half of the week and then it quickly turned toward traditionals of Kates,Black spiders,snatchers and nymphs which did the business.Even dries worked as fish closed into the surface and could be found feeding very close in on the numerous water boatman insect.Takes were very tentitive and patience was required not to strike to early.Some examples of catches this week were,Jim Eddie 9,Tom Webster had 6 and 2 6lb fish,Barry Ward had an 8lb 8ozs fish,Geirge Stewart snr had 9 fish with a nice 2lb 8ozs Blue and George Stewart jnr followed up with a 9 and a fish of 9lbs,Ian Morrison had 9,Gordon Grant also 9,Aidrian Nicholson 7,John Graham 9,Bob Mann had 8, with his best at 5lbs,Gary Gormley had 10,Paul Kier 9 with a brook trout returned also,Kev Middlemiss had 11 and a 6lb 12ozs fish his best,Colin Taylor had a nice fish of 5lb 15ozs, on average anglers managed between 3 and 4 fish for their sessions.

Decent catches continued on pellet for anglers with early part of the week producing mostly roach,bream and gudgeon for Alan Siener,Keith Seiner,Kieron Shaw,Dave Latty started the carp going along with roach and bream,Jihn Allsopp had a great day with Carp upto 6lb 4ozs,plenty of bream,ide and gudgeon on the pole.Paul Richardson had Roach,gudgeon and bream and managed a carp also again on the pole.
Millbuies trout fishery
With the lochs closing at the end of October and depending on conditions anglers enjoyed some good sport this week with plenty of fish coming to the boats.Ronnie Milne had 11 fish on buzzers,Chic Thompson had 7 again on buzzers his best at 3lb 4ozs,John Shearson had 7 best at 3lbs,Stephen McConnachie had 6 best a 3lb 8ozs,Forbes Jaffery had 2,Chris Stuart had 12,Mark Kozek had 2.Most of the fish can be found close to the top and dries and small black traditionals have worked well.Under the tree lines fish are actively feeding on insect falling onto the water.Water at the moment is down about a foot and clear and with a spalsh of rain will always help fishing.
