No not Lintrathen  I have fished this place acouple of times recently. Its £8 for the day,stuffed full of free rising wild Brownies, typical Scottish Loch 3 tothe pound. There are however some some notable fish in there, a 4lber was caught recently and a 6lb fish last season. Its only just over an hours drive from Aberdeen so well worth a visit. Bank fishing only by the way but with around 5 miles of bank you are spoiled for choice.

Jim,
this is indeed a fine place to spend a day. I have not been there for a long long time. In fact the last time I fished it was with your colleagues from the Marathon sports and social club when we spent a weekend at the Glen Isla Hotel and also fished at another loch that I know you have fished which was also not Lintrathen. This is a nice part of the world and I intend to be back there soon on the other loch with the wee boat house at the end of the dam.

glad to see you had a good day. I am off to the hills with a couple of the other guys on the forum on Sunday and hope to catch something other than a suntan.

I'm a wet fly man Iain  however my mate who was with me had all his on a red arsed hopper, he out fished me at least  2-1
