This weekends Summer Bumper for Saturday and Sunday ONLY and applies to catch tickets only and not catch and release tickets is:- The angler who catches the heaviest fish over the two days will win a new Cortland cx 10ft fly rod .

It may be hot but there is still plenty of fish to catch if your on the right tactics.Its not the best weather for the fish as they will be found deep down and when caught great care is needed to release as quick as possible,other wise they will struggle.

That's the target set for the weekend summer Bumper.David MCKay off to a flyer with a 9lb 11ozs fish and his second a 8lb 6ozs fish and all before 8.55am.Fish are taking well in the cooler weather and even on the coarse loch fish are coming well to the bait with some cracking bags being caught of Carp,bream,ide,roach and rudd.

so far therod is in Davids hands but itcould very easily slip away,only time will tell as its early sat morn and there is still the rest of the day and sunday to go.
