Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

The Aul Troot

What a difference a week makes! This week has seen better fishing conditions than we have enjoyed since January and the change in temperature has been reflected in the catches. The number of fish caught this week were better than has been seen since September and the main catches have been recorded by:
D Stewart, Aberdeen, 37 fish, (Buzzers), C Fraser, Turriff, 26 fish, (Diawl Bach/Buzzers), S MacLean, Fraerburgh, 25 fish, (Blobs/Lures), A Murray, Gardenstown, 24 fish, (White Fritz), G Morrice, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (Blobs), I Watt, Turriff, 9 fish, (Buzzers).
As well as the above, Tuesday saw a visit from the First Bus Group from Aberdeen where 11 anglers enjoyed a good days sport landing a total of 118 fish and with the leading catches being:
G Garioch, 28 fish, (Green WSW), D Hewitt, 15 fish, (Black/Green Lure), A Estell, 14 fish, (Olive WSW), G Burr, 14 fish, (Yellow Dancer).
Included in the above were 11 fish in the 8lb to 11lb range.
