I was thinking this morning, with all this cold water kicking around its likely to be a late start for the hatches this year.
I've been out and about a few times in the last few days and no sign of any life, usuallly this time of the year there are LDO's and some MB's about. Looking at the other topic on similar lines it would seem others are noticing the same.
On a positive note it brings to mind a few seasons ago when we had a late spring and the hatches started in earnest at the start of May
That was one of the best few weeks i can remember for catching well conditioned Broonies on the dryfly during the day. So it might not be all bad
A chance to try out some Czech nymphing, perhaps while we await the emergence of those lovely upwings.
I for one am still itching for a week on Monday to come around, even though i'm working
Still Friday the 5th beckons
