Have had a Fabia Estate for last two and a half years and had absolutely no issues with it and very economical.  In another four years when I "retire" from my current role would like to get a Defender which has been rebuilt onto a galvanised chassis.  Might have to be a second car if I can get away with it depending on what I am doing then to earn a crust.

this van holds a full size mattress in the back. something none of your girly speedsters can do....

Once the girlies sink into the leather of my Alfa GT they do NOT want anything to do with the back of a van.

Oh, you mean YOU sleep in the van?!?!? Oops, my bad.... :z7

ah, but the disco ball in the back lures them and once there, puts them in a hypnotic state !  :z16

Fancy a Mitsubishi Outlander or Peugeot 4007, or Citreon C Crosser (same car really).
Subaru Outback looks ok as well.  Current x trail not bad certainly on the fishing front bags room, gets you to the places you want to go etc, just getting a wee bit long in the tooth

Rob,
no windows in the back of mine, however I have been toying with the idea of a roof tent.

Eddie.

Thats the cunning plan for my one, one day.
