Does it have a fuji reel seat and pinky/red whipping and a red shild logo? If so, I may have made it!!..lol. Must say though, I did not do the varnishing!

Yes sounds like the same rod.

Is it a fiberglass one or a carbon one??

Both were built on Fibatube blanks (Hardy), the glass being about £80 and the carbon..if I remember, about £220

Think its carbon .
Very light.
Also have a 9.6 summers trout rod i bought about 20 years ago.
Still using it and has served me well.

They are a great blank, a little slow for modern applications though. It was actually the finish that was not great. I would build the rod and then apply one coating of Shellac to the whipping, it then got varnished by someone else, and I always thought it could have been better.
