Hi folks

All sorts of fun at Haddo today, from some pretty severe spells of weather, to the largest brown trout that I have weighed at the fishery, caught and released by Colin Shand at 7lb 8oz on a size 14 Bibio Hopper as soon as it touched the water

A beautiful day at Haddo yesterday with great dry fly action.  The brownies were going at Olive emergers all day.

August is becoming a bit of a pain, this changeable weather does not appear to be to the liking of the trout They've become pretty fussy this week and although a good number rise for quite good spells during the day, they are not proving easy to tempt.

Lots of olives coming off again, but they are not always hitting them on the surface now ...... I wonder if they are taking the nymphs instead? Small nymphs retrieved very quickly appeared to work well this afternoon, but the rising fish continued to prove tricky on the dries?
