Far from it actually, the fish were well up for it. We had a great mix including a fin perfect brownie of about 4lbs that fought like a demon.

Are you going to have a go at a hot weather coating?
I would imagine a 9wt line of this ilk will find it's way into the tropics
it would be terrible if it was limp
it would probably be a great line for UK SWFF in the standard coating although a bit stiffer is better in the wind
and with bigger flies

The GT140S is proving popular in Australia, so I'm hoping for some feedback from there regarding coatings. So far all the feedback from the Southern Hemisphere has been very positive!
