No there are places in Aberdeenshire , but there has been so much trouble with people making fires , drinking, leaving litter , fishing with unsuitable tackle, killing Pike  etc etc so people are loathe to allow Pike fishing now.

We had some fantastic Pike fishing..I even moved house to be near one of the lochs, but I have not fished for Pike in Aberdeenshire seriously for about 3 years. I have the odd cast on the waters I have had success on in years gone by, but it breaks my heart to see these waters now.

Many specimen Pike and Perch have been taken for the pot. The local Pike club I ran folded because I was sick and tired of the constant battle with landowners, having to explain that the people doing this, leaving rubbish, ripping up fences and making fires ets where not Pike or Coarse anglers..they where local Neds and idiots who went to the waters edge to camp and get drunk whilst casting out a couple of Lidl rods.

Pike are given no protection, they are at the mercy of any Tom, Dick or Marek that turns up and fishes.

I now only fish Trout waters for Pike (with permission of course!) and some of the remote Highland lochs...I dont bother with round here unfortuantly.

It is a shame, I remember fishing Kinnord many years ago and catching pike/perch.

at the mercy of any Tom, Dick or Marek that turns up and fishes.

I see what you did there, you sly old dog

There is a small pond about size of football pitch by the quarry/garage on back roab between dyce and brig of don. fished for pike and perch in there loads when was a kid and dont know who it belongs to but was never thrown off. Few of guys i work with take their kids to fish and still say there are pike in there at about 2- 10 pounds which they had on big wsw and other bright bushy flies.
