love the Alexandra varient.

 I'm not sure i know anyone who has caught a fish on an Alexandra but i think they looks amazing and im sure fish like 'em

I fished size 12 & 14 Alexandras quite a bit on the river back in the 90s ..... they fished very well indeed :z16

Haven't fished one for years, due to focusing on dry fly I guess  :z8 so must give one a try.

I fish an Alexandra quite a lot on lochs. I find it does pretty well, especially towards the back end.

I also swung one a couple of times on the Ythan early this year and picked up a couple of brownies in the gloaming.

I imagine your Alexandra would work well with a red thorax too Robert, kind of like the original red Ibis, or a pinch of Peter Ross treatment.
