Received my raffle prize from the excellent tier Davie McPhail , just total quality , The fly box is a selection of River Wets / Spider’s . When looked under the magnifying glass there are just elegant not an extra turn of thread is used they really are phenomenal something I’ll  cherish and attempt to copy  🎣🎣

The WSW here are some original tying’s at least 25 years old ,  Tied by Walter himself ,  Walter used to whittle away tying these while offshore and I would join him of an evening and tie a few myself  ,  I have been using them on the Don and just as effective on the brownies as well 🎣🎣

Hi Allan, they have fished well enough. Triggers of the shape, body, and legs must still be enough to convince the fish. The fly also tends to sit well into the suface film so I imaging it presents a nice vulnerable target when static.

I can't make any claim to the pattern as I copied Steve Cullen's tying.
